Week of May 19th (New Area)

So Hna. Orellana left yesterday... I've been in a different area for a few days. Which is nice, hanging out with other sisters. I love them! I found out who will be my comp this morning! I'll have my first gringa! Woohoo. Finally the day has come. Her name is Hna. Ferrin, I'll pick her up at the bus station tomorrow. I've only heard good things about her so I'm pretty calm right now. Just the whole leading the sector is kind of freaking me out, but I've been here for almost 5 months. So it's not too difficult getting my way around. I'll be okay!
I'm so glad to hear that every one is okay. Dad, still haven't got your package yet. I'll tell you when I get it, glad you got mine. This transfer will only be 4 weeks long, usually it's 6 weeks. So time is flying! President will be leaving in June. Say it ain't so! :( I love that man. I had an interview with him on thursday, it was probably one our shortest interviews. He went fast with every one in the zone. But so glad to feel and hear his love.

I've started a new thing, every quote that calls my attention; I write down. Also started writing poems again, I wrote one yesterday. Here I'll write for you, it's short and sweet. "I had a dream, a sweet dream. I met a man of God, Thomas S. Monson. The true prophet in this day. We talked about life and the mission I served. What a dream was this. I'd go back if I could." That really happened, probably one of the best dreams ever. I love writing, I can write better than I speak. Well love you all, have a wonderful week. I'm still here laughing at the small moments that pass by.

Love,

Mother's Day!

So I'd like to say Happy Mother's Day to me... Because it sure was a happy day! I got to talk to my family and HARM! Best skype ever. I haven't seen or heard from her in literally 9 months, only through e-mail. So strange hearing her speak spanish, because her accent is so distinct and different from mine. But definitely a spiritual experience listening to her testimony, and having the same feelings. I know we are becoming stronger with the experiences we are having as of right now, and those that are to come our way. Also a nice boost from hearing the family, thank you for all that you do for me. I love you all so very much. Keep those prayers coming! I'm sending mine your way!

Today is my last P-Day with Hermana Miriam Orellana... Bittersweet feelings. She'll be leaving this sunday, and I'll receive my new companion on tuesday. No idea if I'll be with a gringa or a latina, but everything will be okay. Come What May. Going back to my title, "Yo ama y Yo espera." I first found this quote in french and I really love it. I find it inspiring, I love and hope for many things especially as missionary, and for my near future that's awaiting me. Hope all is well. I'm nervous to lead this area, but I just gotta grin and bear it. I can do all things in Christ; we all can. Philippians 4:13

Week of May 5th

Dearest folks,

So yesterday was quite the miracle, we finished our goal for lessons with a member in one day! We went out with Soledad, we had been asking for her help for a long time... She finally gave in! She did so well, she'll be a member now for 8 months. Her testimony is so sweet and sincere, I love it. So that was a grand blessing. I know her testimony impacted those we taught, which helped plant a seed in their hearts. Ruben is still happy as ever and went to Stake Conference with us, also Lorenzo came with us! It was a good sunday, I loved hearing the testimonies of returned missionaries. They're so inspiring and I love the spirit I felt. I know that'll be me one day, sooner for my compañera! Crazy. No idea who will be my new comp.

TAY! Thanks for the camera! I got it last tuesday, thank you sooo much. I can keep memories now!! So other news, I got my bangs cut today... I wanted a change again. Whatever. I didn't take pictures, but you'll see me on skype! I'm sorry I haven't got to plan when to do it, but I'm going to try for the same time as Harm. I want to see her!! I mean, I want to see you guys, but I really wanna see her too!!! It's been 9 months since I've seen that sweet face or heard her voice! I don't have a limit on time, I guess our President loves us or something... But I won't push it too far. Also I sent a package today, so it should take a month to get to you.

Love you all,

About 9 months in!

Hey,

So maybe I should stop announcing baptisms before the interviews... But our Rubencito did get baptized after all. After waiting for 3 weeks he made it, and as of yesterday he was confirmed as a member de la iglesia de los santos de los últimos días! YAAAAYYY. We had a lovely program for him, the members gave wonderful talks. We also sang a musical number with the elders, I felt like I was the only sister singing; but it's all good. I did it for Ruben! We sing Abide with me Tis Eventide in spanish of course. Ruben bore his testimony after he was baptized. It was so cute, he wasn't scared at all. His words were very simple and clear, and he said he now feels apart of a family. He also recently bought a white shirt, that he nows wears to church with the ties we have gave him. I'm so happy that my compañera can have some miracles before leaving me. I'm getting scared, May is coming and then she'll be gone... AHH. May 19th, please don't come for a while.

P-day: So today recently we went shopping. I found some sweet mapuche knitted bags, good stuff! Also I don't know why but we walked all of the way to Lider which is like Walmart just to see what it was like. We didn't buy anything. So that was a nice walk haha... Last night was funny, took some pregnant belly pictures for this upcoming 30th of April. I'll be hitting my 9 months mark! AHH limitad de mi mision; scary. Well hope all is well in the humble abode of Panaca, where ever you are. I miss you all. Awaiting Mother's Day, patiently if that's possible...

I love you all always! Bye!
