The (almost) 2 month mark in Chile!

So my last email I made a mistake... I meant my comp doesn't speak any English! I speak more Spanish than I ever have with her. This will be a blessing because I need to learn more anyway. I enjoy reading all of your emails, they make me smile! My new comp is Hna. Barrios, she's 28! Can you believe it?! Crazy. She doesn't look 28 at all. So everything is okay, she's really sweet and patient with my bad Spanish. We both love coke so that's a good thing. We're both lost here because she's new here and so am I. This area is huge! I didn't really realize it because with my last comp we always took the bus. So maybe now since we walk everywhere maybe I won't get fat after all! YAY.

My feet hurt though by the end of the day. There are some crazy hills here, I mean crazy. Anyway, I'm so glad to be here on a mission. I don't care if some people think I'm crazy, I'll stand with my Savior always. I'm forever grateful. Hope everything is going well, and dad glad you got your deer! Can't wait to go hunting with you when I get back. Alexi, you never write me! You're probably super busy at the dark abyss... (Smith's) Joking! Haha well love you all! I'm having fun here with crazy Chilean folks. Funny story, well an excuse. We were knocking on doors and one man said he couldn't talk, because he had a tea-pot on the stove and he ran away! Weird. I love these moments I have here. Happy Halloween for when I can't say it!

Week of October 21st

So this week has been lovely, but today I found out I've be having a new comp! She doesn't speak any spanish. So hopefully I'll be okay! She'll be coming tomorrow. I'm going to miss having Hna. Contreras! Sorry for my negative comments last time. I should stay positive, because really everything is okay! So here there is a song that is always playing and I believe it's from Argentina, it's called Nene Malo. It's pretty funny, I'm sure Harm knows it too. I don't have very much time because my comp. needs to say goodbye to everyone! Sad. I love you all, and the Lord does too. I know I can tell you these things, but only you can really find out for yourself. Here's some pictures that I finally got to send! Enjoy. Sorry it's always mostly me. There's some Chilean boys for you to see! Their names are Cristian and Elvis. I still can't believe I'm losing my mom (trainer comp.) Scary! Wish me luck! Your prayers are greatly appreciated.

The Weekly Update From Yours Truly

Dearest family and friends, this week has been pretty rough. There's been more drama with my comp again. Though it's not fighting or anything, but I guess there's been rumors about my comp being too nice to guys in our ward around our age. So a lot of interviews with our zone leaders. This was all overwhelming because I'm new and I'm just going along with all the motions. But she met with our Pres today and everything was okay, because he knows she's a great missionary. Some things just got taken out of proportion. So no need to worry! I love my comp so much. I learn from her everyday. We have at least 10 investigators which I think is pretty great. We have 3 with a baptism date. Juan is one and though he has a problem with drinking, I love him, and God loves him. I want so badly to see him in white, and him be clean from sin. But who knows! I've got to trust in the Lord. Oh so I got to send Harm something because my Pres is going to Argentina. So that'll be fun! Sorry no pictures lately. Not too much to take of right now. I'm sick again with a nasty cold. Ugh. Haha I'm just always getting sick. Oh well! God is great. The mission is great. There are bad things that sometimes happen, but overall they're learning experiences. I love you all!

Week of Conference

Well hello everybody! This week has been great, I love listening to General Conference. The session on Saturday really spoke to me. Especially Jeffrey R. Holland! That man knows how to pull at my heart strings. He discussed about mental illnesses, I cannot wait for a special someone I know to reach immortality and receive an absolutely perfect body. This knowledge brought tears to my eyes. I'm so grateful for this gospel and the blessings I have and continue receiving daily. This is the word of God. I love sharing it with others.

Oh we had 5 of our investigators come to General Conference!! So happy for them. I watched it in English while my companion watched it in Spanish. These were two amazing days. So a song I've discovered while I've been here, Getting Into You by Relient K. Love! I think that's what it's called... Anyway this month has been great! I'm definitely growing spiritually every single day. I love becoming fully converted, I want to be the best I can be.

Random: look up Samuel Landaur on YouTube if you can. He is a member in my ward and he's a singer. He also makes a lot of videos of the youth in our ward. Super fun! So funny thing happened today. I let one other sister staying with us do my makeup. Don't ask me why! It was scary. Much too different for me. She put eyeliner all around my eyes. Never again! I've received one letter so far from Janis Grun from Oak Harbor, WA. This was a nice surprise! Grandma, I still haven't gotten your package yet. Keep them coming friends! Show me that you love me. Maybe? Hehe. I love you!
