"I walked more than a mormon today." A new thing they say here.‏

Dear all y'all,

I've doing much better. Ana is so sweet and we're helping her prepare for a baptism. She wants to change and she knows baptism is a strong covenant. We have to help her quit smoking as well, but it's possible. I know it is because of the experience with Ivan who got baptized! I don't know if you saw, but he sent me a recuerdo. A nice picture frame with a picture of the day of his baptism. It was sweet! Hahaha he spelled hermana like ermana, funny kid. From what I heard he is doing well in the church, he's progressed so much. That's a comfort I have. We had a conference with the Mission President on the 17th and it was great. We talked a lot about the first presidency, 12 apostles, and the seventy. It was neat, I learned a lot things I didn't know.

Anyway, also had a little talk with Hermana Bluth with just the sisters. It was really nice to talk on a more personal level. We've also found some new peple from knocking doors and I can't wait to go visit them again! Also had a fun ward activity, they brought plates of food from different states and countries. Well P-Day has been nice, we went to the mall and I sent some letters. I bought a scarf with horse shoes on it... I'm excited. Well I love you all! Panaca... "TASTING, TASTING, YUM, YUM, YUM... WELCOME TO THE HEART OF LINCOLN COUNTY..." HAVE A HAPPY PIONEER DAY!!! I'll miss listening to my Grand-papa! Enjoy being with the family.

Love,

{July 14th}

I hope everyone knows that I am working. Right now we're just really searching for new people to teach. That's the thing we had people, but sometimes they don't progress or we can't get a hold of them.

Anyway, on thursday we did an intercambio with Llaima. Our area is divided into two sectors, so I stayed in my sector and went out with Hna. Evans. It was really good for me to lead the sector for the day, and learn something new from her. I realized I do know this sector better than I think I do. I can do this! Also we taught Fernando and he promised to go to church, he didn't come but that's okay. The lesson was a good experience, also we contacted a lot of people so that felt good. The day goes by fast when you have people to talk to. Please pray for me. Sometimes I feel a little down, but I'm okay. Another new week is here, it'll be better. I love you all.

P.S. Hope everyone is enjoying July, and getting ready for Pioneer Day.
Les amo mucho,

Met the President! (Of the Mission) {July 7th}

Hey! So I got better, sorry Harm's sick... That's a bummer! No fun. Funny how she made a fire, that hick girl! Everyone makes fun of me since I've from Panaca, it's great. Also I picked up this hick accent because I talked like that for fun with Hna. Ferrin. Now it's stuck, so everyone thinks it's legit hahaha. Oops. Lately we haven't too much contact with our invesitgators, they're all out of town. Boocha! ¡Que fume! Though we did find a new person and it was amazing. Her name is Ana and she said she was waiting for something like this to help her. Guess the spirit directed in the right time. She said she had been wanting to change her life, because she started going to the casino. She told us she knew that God didn't create that and she shouldn't be there. Anyway, I'm excited because we're going by for her house today! It should be great! Pray for us and that her heart and mind might open to receive this message.

There's a member I love here! Her name is Marcelina and she kind of reminds me of mom a little bit, maybe it's just because she has curly hair. Haha but it was her birthday and we surprised her with some goodies. She is really sweet and dedicated to the gospel. She really helps me with all of the conversations we've had. Also their are some investigators that are always trying to help us. The husband is Chilean and the wife is Argentine. Great, right? Haha they're really catholic, but they always like to learn about our gospel. They're cute and they give us lunch sometimes.

Well hope y'all had a great 4th of July. The night before I fell down the stairs... It was terrible. I'm so terribly bruised, so it kind of hurts to sit down. Though luckily I didn't land another way. I also had a coffee mug in my hand, and it didn't break. Maybe my butt broke... Hahaha but I'm OKAY.
I met the president and his wife on the 4th and it was a sweet experience. They never served missions so this is their first one together. They have a really cute love story, and their family is huge and cute also. I'm glad they're willing to serve. Y'all have a great week! Tell Jhena "Happy Belated Birthday" for me that was on the 4th. Glad to be an American!!

Harmony and me, a pretty good company!! 11 MESES??!!‏

Familia y muchachos:
Well Harm we really are twins... I was sick too this week, but I had some virus so I was throwing up. Though now I'm perfectly fine, feeling good! I was at home almost 3 days, another sister in the house was sick too so we did exchanges with our healthy companions. Anyway, all is well. We had permission to watch another futbol game on saturday haha. It was a tough game! I was pretty upset myself. So this is my second week here and I wasn't out too much, but here comes another! It's interesting living with a ton of girls, luckily we have 2 bathrooms. Also I had an intercambio on tuesday and that's when I got sick, but I loved getting to know Hna. Leyva. She's from Peru and she went to BYU, she graduated there so she speaks english.

AHH. I can't believe Harm and I will have a year soon. Crazy thought.
Well keep on keepin' on. Thanks for all of your testimonies and your love
in general. It really helps me, seriously. Thank you.

¡Les amo!

{June 23rd}

Hey folks,
I'm alive. Today we had permission to watch the soccer game of Chile vs. Netherlands, but the sad thing is that we lost... BOOCHA! Anyway, I'm seeing many milagros here in Llaima. I'm so happy! Well now I live in a house of 6 girls in total. So much girls. AHH. It's okay, I'm getting used to it. I've just always lived with my comp only. So today is the last time I have to write Pres. Martinez... Sad day! But he wrote me and told me how shocked he was to hear how good my spanish has gotten. YAYY!! Well either way blessings are coming, it's bound to happen. I know everyone receives a calling for a reason, and who am I to judge? I'll be here to support him and his wife, I'll be a good girl haha.

Oh! One story of an investigator: We had a lesson with the asistentes de la misión, and it was amazing. Elder Reynolds is a recent convert for 2 years, and his testimony was incredible. I think his testimony really touched Oscar's heart, and now he's thinking about his baptism. I love feeling the spirit. Have a great week, and search for the spirit. What can you do better in order to have the spirit with you?
