So long, farewell, adiós a Presidente y a Fundo el Carmen...‏

Well I tried writing that letter and sending it! Hope that works. Sometimes I don't have enough time to tell you everything I want to! So I'm leaving Fundo and I'm going to Llaima which is actually really close by, but it's not in the same zone. I'll be with Hna. Gallardo and she's from Argentina, this will be my third girl from there. I don't know her, so I'll get to know her and I leave tomorrow. I'm gonna miss Hna. Ferrin, she leaves for home in august. Almost all of my compañeras that I've had have died or are dying. Crazy stuff! Two guys from my district died today, and one was my district leader. Anyway Hna. Ferrin was born in Llaima so she told me about it, I guess it's a rich sector. But she loved it, and she's excited that I won't be so far away. I'm excited to get some fresh air! I'm sad that Pres will be leaving though... I told you about the conference in the picture, hopefully you can read it! I love you all. Keep me in your prayers!

Love always,

Dad why didn't you write me this week? Ahh cielos!

Dearest folks,
This week has flown by just like all of them! It rained all week, so I was wet all week! Knocking was a blast and super affective. Maybe being a little sarcastic, but it's fine. I'm happy. So we're teaching Karla again who was from February, so that's exciting! She's really searching for a religion that calls her heart and soul. Please pray for her so she can receive her answers. Also Ruben came to church this Sunday, so that made me calm down a bit. Phew!

Last night some hermanas stayed in our house, one was visiting some members before she finishes her mission. It was nice to hear some feedback how to work here in Fundo. Also received some references! YAY. Just what we need! Anyway, today we were lost downtown in Temuco looking for ropa americana for the conference this Friday. Didn't find anything, but oh well! Haha we went to Mickey D's and ate a big mac. Good stuff. Also yesterday we made breakfast for almuerzo so that was fun. We made french toast with bacon, yummy. Taste of 'MERICA! Well sad this is my last week with HnaFerrin... It's really likely I'll be leavingFundo! I just don't wanna leave her! This Friday we're having a conference with the whole entire mission, so that should be something. I don't want Pres. to leave! But oh well, recently I listened to a talk by Elder Wirthlin called, "Come What May, and LOVE It". It made me laugh and realize that everything will be okay. I need to cherish every minute I have out here in the field, I love it. I love this gospel, I love having a testimony. Also for the opportunity to strengthen it even more. I love you all. ETTE! (Endure to the End) :)

Love,

Week of June 2nd {10 months In!}

Dear family and friends,

This week was wonderful, sure my numbers aren't as amazing as Harm's but that's okay. I'm happy. We're having a hard time trying to get members to come out with us, they all work dang it. Also Ruben has missed almost 3 sundays so that doesn't look too good on my part either. I mean I can't do anything because he's out of town visiting his mom, so can't wait until he comes back! We're still searching for new people to teach, we did find one Adventista family. I'm sure they're trying to convert us too, they gave us a book to read called "La Gran Esperanza". Anyway, we'll see how the next lesson goes...

I try not comparing myself, but it's a little hard when you're a twin. Sounds like the work is going really well over there. I know my chance will come again, just got to keep going and do my best. One thing that I'm really blessed for is this transfer to be with Hna. Ferrin. I think I'm the happiest I've been in a long time. It really is a blessing to have a comp that you love. I love her! Okay so moving on... Today we're going to go make food with Soledad. So that should be fun, because I want to learn how to make sopapillas. I think I've realized that I'm just fat in Chile. Oh well. I hope everyone has a great week! Look up this song, Down in the River to Pray by Allison Kraus. We jam out to it here in our little house! Good stuff. Well this transfer is just getting shorter, and I don't like it! Presidente Martinez can't leave!...
Bye.

Con mucho Amor,

Week of May 25th [new companion]

Dear all y'all,
So I waited on tuesday in the bus station at 9 in the morning until 5:30 in the afternoon. Then she came my way! Hna. Ferrin from Kaysville, UT. She's 21 and awesome. I don't think I've ever been so happy in the mission... Maybe getting a little carried away. Well we've only had 4 days together, but we're having so much fun.

On saturday Lisset got baptized! She was our investigator(w/Hna. Orellana), but she lived in Labranza so we had to pass the reference. She worked in Fundo so we teached quite a few times, and I knew from the day I knew her she would be baptized. And it sure did happen! When she called to tell me, I FREAKED out with happiness. I was screaming, so it was a really good day. I asked for permission from Pres. if I could go and he let me. She was so happy, and it was a wonderful experience to see her hacer convenios con Nuestro Padre Celestial. I am so blessed.

Hna. Ferrin has become my best friend. We click off really well together, and we probably laugh too much. Maybe that's why I just feel so much better. I might be a cloud 9 a little bit. It's awesome when you can work together and still have fun at the same time. She's kind of become obsessed with the name of Panaca. So we started speaking in english with funny accents, and now we never talk normal. Anyway, hard to explain. But it sure does feel real good. Hahaha... Funny speaking in terrible english. Well I'm doing really well. I'm super happy, but also sad that this transfer will only be 4 weeks. Then Pres. will leave with his beautiful wife... :( Well enjoying everything while it lasts! I love you all. Please feel free to pray for me.
Love,
Hermana Melody Anderson
